Welcome to the new horses in the program... Natalie, a Holsteiner/Andalusian cross has come to fulfill Tracey's aspirations in her riding career. Nice pair they make and I expect wonderful things. Harley, 16h3 Thoroughbred gelding with an incredible mind, has joined the team to show PJ the ropes of horsemanship. I absolutely love riding them both and I could not have found nicer horses for my peoples.
Pictures soon to follow...

Changes are coming
Wow, what a month it has been. Riedmuller Eventing has confirmed it's move to Rickman Horse Farm in Montgomery County, which is home to the Great and Small Therapeutic Riding Program. That will happen on or around January 15, 2010. The area is gorgeous, with trails and hacking maintained by EPIC (Equestrian Partners in Conservation) and the Potomac Hunt. The move will spark a new tone for my students and I, as we'll be back in old stomping grounds.
The highlight of the month was definitely the Kim Severson Clinic, just in time for a whopping winter storm. A determined Mom/Daughter pair made it against lots of odds from Harrisburg, PA to attend. Kismet may be at work here, as Karissa was asked to join Kim's Team at Paragon Farm in Palmyra, VA.... The weather was challenging to say the least, yet the indoor was a haven of excellent footing and exemplary instruction.
Other than that, trudging through snow is the order of the day. Christmas was low key; next year, we're going to Trinidad!
