Big changes in 2012

The metamorphosis has taken place and adjustments to a new routine is experienced by everyone involved..

First off, the horses are now at three different barns. Cello and Nat have moved to the beautiful and historic property, Eminence Farm, in Poolesville, MD. Susan and Sue are settling in their new surroundings, and the horses are getting there.

Ari moved over to Wyndham Oaks and is excelling in his routine and under saddle work. Houston is still at Jerry Kings in North Carolina, learning how to accept his fate as a riding horse.

Tex and Halo have moved with me to Colleen Rutledge; Colleen has generously provided a space for them to teach me the ropes of upper level eventing. Colleen is proving to be an exceptional mentor and her guidance is invaluable to me. Thank you Colleen! Colleen, after finishing Rolex and Burghley last year, is headed to Badminton in 2012. The beautiful bank barn at Rickman Horse Farm, home of the Great and Small Therapeutic Riding Program, is up for grabs... it's a wonderful facility to train event horses with an indoor, outdoor and grass field. There are 9 stalls in the barn and ample turn out. Someone will be lucky to acquire this facility. Call Rachel at 301 349 0075 for more information.

We head to Aiken on February 5, 2012. My husband, Brian Riedmuller, has been located in Aiken since November last year and has constructed three exceptional riding arenas. His fine expertise, recognized by eventer and Olympic hopeful Boyd Martin, earned his arena at Ilene Boorman's a bid to host the 2012 US Equestrian Team Winter Training sessions. Go Brian! I am so proud of his incredible work. I am actually hoping to spend some time with him when I get there.

Well, I think this sums it up for now; the horses are doing well and I look forward to a successful 2012. Keep in touch!
